Chess is a free Android game that offers a classic representation of the renowned strategy board game. Each piece in Chess moves uniquely:

<li>The king moves one space in any direction.</li>
<li>The rook travels along ranks or files (rows or columns).</li>
<li>The bishop glides diagonally across the board.</li>
<li>The queen commands any number of spaces along ranks, files, or diagonals.</li>
<li>The knight advances in an "L" shape—two squares vertically and one horizontally or two squares horizontally and one vertically.</li>
<li>The pawn moves forward onto an unoccupied square directly ahead on its own file or can make an initial move of two squares along the same file.</li>
</ul>

Recognizing immediate threats is crucial in Chess. When a king is under attack, it is considered "in check," prompting players to respond strategically to safeguard their royal piece. A legal move must nullify the threat to secure the king's safety.
